Agnès Chauvet
Classical Guitarist
Agnès Chauvet is a classical guitarist and a dedicated educator based in London. She started her training in 2015 at the University of St Andrews under the guidance of Matthew McAllister and successfully auditioned for a Bachelor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland a few years later.
She has given recitals with hear Viola and Guitar Duo named Duo Trésor and the chamber music group The Instruments of Government in venues across London as well as internationally including in Switzerland and recently in France at the Aleth en Concert festival.
Agnès recently embarked on a new journey as she commissioned and brought to life a piece for viola and guitar by the composer Nimrod Borenstein. The work entitled Le Voyage Op 95 was premiered in July 2022 at St Anne's Kew 's summer concert series. This project has ignited a deep passion for performing and championing new works for this unique amalgamation of instruments.
She's travelled across the Europe to study with world renown teachers such as Allan Neave, Rene Izquiredo and Łukasz Kuropaczewski. She has used these learnings, in her work as an educator and currently teaches privately in North London.
